Who We Are

Our Leaders

Leon Martin is the current lead pastor at Nickel Mines.  He was ordained in 1988 and has been serving at Nickel Mines since 1993.  Leon and his wife Carolyn have three grown children.  Leon works full-time for a mechanical contractor along with his role as pastor.

Landis Weaver, Jr. is our associate pastor.  He was ordained in 2003 at Nickel Mines as deacon and then ordained in 2011 as pastor.  Landis and his wife Darla, along with their four children, live and work on a dairy farm.   

Sheldon & Cheryl                    

The newest addition to our ministry team is our associate pastor, Sheldon Sensenig.  He was ordained in August, 2015.  Sheldon and his wife Cheryl have 7 children.  Sheldon's full-time occupation is a heating/cooling mechanic. 

Kevin & Edna

Kevin Kilheffer, our deacon, was ordained in 2012.  Kevin's occupation is a delivery driver and maintenance man for a local produce company.  He and his wife Edna have two grown children.


Ernie Mummau, who served our church for the past 35 years, moved to his eternal home on March 14, 2013.  His passing is a deep loss for the church.   

Our overseer is Ed Meyers.  Ed was ordained as pastor in 2002.  He oversees seven churches within the Biblical Mennonite Alliance.  Ed and his wife Jane serve at Strickler's Mennonite Church in Middletown, PA.

Our Affiliation

Nickel Mines Mennonite Church has been affiliated with Biblical Mennonite Alliance (BMA) since 2002.  BMA is an alliance of conservative Anabaptist/Mennonite congregations who strive to promote obedience to
Jesus Christ and to all His teachings recorded in the Word of God, the Bible.
